Wedding Make up
I trained as a make up artist and beauty therapist more than 20 years ago and worked freelance in television, videos and in the press. Since then I have offered wedding and special occasion make up at my salon in addition to make up lessons. 
I think wedding make up is so important as the photographs last for ever and it is so lovely being part of someone's special day! I work hard with the bride to understand the look she envisages for herself so that she can relax and feel confident.
I use a variety of top make up brands, including Bare Escentuals which is becoming more popular due to the fact that it is made from pure minerals and therefore does not irritate or clog the skin. It also has amazing staying power - (one bride was married in 80 degrees in the summer of 2006 and her make up remained flawless!)
When I first meet with the bride, we discuss her colour scheme and her preferences regarding 
the kind of make up look she would like. Very often, the brides who come to me wear little or no make up at all so want to create a natural look for their special day.
We then make a date for a trial run, which usually takes place at my salon in South Woodham, (or I can travel to you if this is not convenient) during which we work together so that the bride is happy with the finished result.
If the mother of the bride or any bridesmaids require their make up applied for the wedding, they usually come too - or they may not think a trial is necessary.
On the day of the wedding I can travel to the bride's home or the wedding venue.
I can offer appointments for the trial during the week, evenings or weekends.
